No Man’s Land

Getting into the office today is like walking around in Myammar after Nargis Cyclone or passing through Sichuan district after the earthquake. 

 

I’m in no man’s land

 

Since this time is school holiday/break and Malaysia got long weekend for upcoming Birthday of Yang diPertuan Agong (National Holiday), everybody is taking a leave and I observed three-quarter of my office population is gone.  My office cafeteria/canteen is empty and the smoking ports are not busy or operating as usual.

 

Me…., after went away (from office) for long period last two-weeks, this week should be my pack-back time, to settle everything before new tasks coming when full ‘squad’ return next week. I’ve got nothing to accomplish during this weekend except my cousin wedding invitation in Kepong this Saturday ..  huh.. what to buy for her .. any idea ?………

EURO 2008 Fantasy Football anyone..

Have you got your own plasma TV, or wonder a cinema system at your home, really into Adidas apparels, or such a computer gaming geeks, then you should hurry up register for McDonald’s Euro 2008 Fantasy Football. 

 

This game (if you can consider it‘s really a ‘GAME’) is really my favourite since my friend introduced me to Premier League Fantasy Football few years (10 years ago maybe) back but this time so much more… more with wonderful presents thanks to McDonald.

 

My friends and me usually participate in this game and after the tournament, will come out with one winner among us and the others shall buy a mini present -( example-anything but the price shall no exceeded RM10.00 – and usually it is cigarette and condom).

 

So ……………. What are you waiting for.. come on and join me and by the time the tournament is over, we can compare the point we got and see who the winner…

Finally, Mourinho Confirmed with Inter

After so much speculation on his managerial career, Jose Mourinho who self-claimed as ‘Special One’ has confirmed to be next Internazionale manager as successor to Roberto Mancini who was sacked even after brought back Scudetto Championship in the last three seasons.

Mourinho who has been sacked by Chelsea made some of his trade-marks by bringing his support team for his mission at Inter. He brings together Rui Farias, Silvino and Andrei Villas Boas as his sidekicks. And maybe few of Chelsea players may follow too….. ( hopefully Drogba is the first one….)

The 45-year-old ‘Family Man’ who always says that his family if the first priority and football/his team is his No 2 enjoyed a successful three-year spell in English football, helping Chelsea to win the Premier League and League Cup twice, the FA Cup and the Community Shield. The former Chelsea and Porto boss has signed a three-year deal with the Serie A champions.

OMHO, I hope his appointment will bring more cheers to Serie A as it was badly affected by Scandals and match-fixing few years back.

For hardcore football fans, here it is the full fixtures for upcoming Euro 2008. The group stages of the finals will see the 16 finalists drawn into 4 groups. The teams will play 3 matches in a league format with the top 2 teams qualifying for the quarterfinals. The final is on 29th June 2008 in Vienna and Switzerland will open the tournament on Saturday 7th June 2008 in Basle.

I’m Back in the Saddle Again.

After such a long period of away from office (almost 20 days), travelled half of the Peninsular Malaysia states, spending night-time along in the hotel rooms, finally I arrived at the office this morning with a great feeling to start my works. From far away, I can see my workstation full with files that need to be attended. My credit cards account statement that needs urgent payment and overtime form of my staff that requires my approval. Guys…… this should be day full of adrenallin rush..

 

By the way here is the song dedicated to my old fren, MON who taught me indirectly the important of english language. I still remember when we watch together the movie ‘ Sleepless in Seattle’ starring by Tom Hank and Meg Ryan. Consequently after that night…..  i never miss any of Tom Hank’ s movie/drama series..

Euro 2008

Hi guys……, do you aware that we gonna have English Premiership break with the 3rd largest sporting events after the Football World Cup and Olympic Games. If you’re really into football then surely you have ready with ‘Jajan’ and a tonnes of cofeines’ subtract supply for Euro 2008.

The 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2008, will take place in Austria and Switzerland, from 7 June to 29 June 2008. It is the second successful joint bid in the competition’s history, following the UEFA Euro 2000 hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands. The 2012 competition in Poland and Ukraine is scheduled to become the third jointly-hosted tournament.

A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament. Austria and Switzerland automatically qualified as hosts; the remaining 14 teams have been determined through qualifying matches which started in August 2006. Austria and Poland will be making their first appearance in the tournament. The winner of Euro 2008 will represent UEFA at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa, unless Italy wins the tournament, in which case the runner-up will be entered, as Italy are already entered as winners of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The group draw as per below and Group C was stated as Group of death since Holland, Italy and France will be at the same group.

David Beckham Reclaims England Armband

Beckham will skipper the national team for the first time since relinquishing the armband after the 2006 World Cup quarter-final exit to Portugal. Fabio Capello has name David Beckham as England captain for Sunday’s friendly with Trinidad & Tobago. Sunday will mark his 102nd appearance for the national team. But according to Skysport, there have been suggestions that the midfielder has been handed the captaincy for the game to boost England’s bid to host the 2018 World Cup.

England coach Fabio Capello has already used Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and John Terry as captains since he took charge the Three Lions. The captaincy of England will be rotated among the most influential player in the team. The coach doesn’t intend to name a permanent captain until England’s 2010 World Cup qualifiers in September against Andorra and Croatia, and Beckham remains one of the candidates.

Otak Kuning

My fren forwarded to me through email this what so called Lawak Lucah..  just read and do your own muhasabah  to yourself…..  hehehehee ( gelak tak habis lagi ni)

Begini ceritanya…..

Seorang guru, Cikgu Murni (Umur: 22 tahun) menghadapi masalah dengan salah seorang muridnya (Abu). Lalu guru ini bertanya kepada murid tersebut : “Apa sebenarnya masalah awak, Abu?”

Lalu Abu menjawab, “Saya terlalu cerdik untuk berada di darjah 4, kakak saya menduduki UPSR dan saya lebih cerdik dari dia, maka saya seharusnya berada di tempat yang sama juga!”.

Cikgu Murni dah tak tertahan. Dia bawa Abu ke pejabat pengetua. Sementara Abu menunggu di ruang tamu, Cikgu Murni terangkan keadaan tersebut kepada pengetua. Pengetua mengatakan yang dia akan berikan ujian kepada Abu dan jika Abu gagal menjawab, maka Abu harus kekal di darjah 3 dan berkelakuan baik. Abu dibawa masuk ke pejabat Pengetua dan Cikgu Murni terangkan pada Abu dan Abu bersetuju untuk ambil ujian yang akan diberikan.

Pengetua: Apa 3 x 3?
Abu: 9
Pengetua: Apa 6 x 6?
Abu: 36

Pengetua terus bertanyakan soalan2 berdasarkan tahap pencapaian murid2 UPSR dan si Abu mampu menjawab tiap soalan yang diberikan. Lalu pengetua memandang Cikgu Murni dan berkata, “Saya rasa murid ini sepatutnya berada di darjah 6. Lalu Cikgu Murni berkata pada pengetua, “Saya ada soalan saya sendiri, boleh tak saya ajukan pada Abu?”. Pengetua dan Abu bersetuju.

Cikgu Murni: Apa yang lembu ada 4 di badan, tapi saya cuma ada dua?
Abu: (berfikir) Kaki
Cikgu Murni: Apa yang ada di dalam seluar kamu tapi tidak pada seluar saya?
Abu: Saku
Cikgu Murni: Apa yang bermula dengan huruf “K” akhir dengan “A”, ianya berbulu, berbentuk oval, nyaman dan mengandungi lapisan nipis keputihan?
Abu: Kelapa
Cikgu Murni: Apakah yang masuk keras dan berwarna “pink”, bila keluar lembik dan melekit?
Mata Pengetua terbuka luas dan sebelum sempat dia menahan, si Abu terus menjawab.
Abu: Gula-gula getah (Bubblegum)
Cikgu Murni: Apa yang mereka lakukan, lelaki secara berdiri, wanita secara duduk dan anjing secara tiga kaki?
Mata Pengetua sekali lagi terbuka sangat2 luas dan sebelum dia sempat hendak menahan si Abu terus menjawab.
Abu: Bersalaman
Cikgu Murni: Baik, sekarang saya akan ajukan soalan berbentuk siapakah saya, okay?
Abu: Baik Cikgu
Cikgu Murni: Awak memasukkan batang kedalam saya. Awak ikat saya untuk saya berdiri. Saya kebasahan sebelum awak.
Pengetua kelihatan resah dengan soalan yang diajukan oleh Cikgu Murni.
Abu: Khemah
Cikgu Murni: Jari memasuki saya. Awak menggesel-gesel saya bila awak teringatkan saya. Lelaki idaman akan mendapat saya dahulu.
Pengetua semakin resah dan tidak selesa. Lantas terus meneguk segelas Nescafe 3in1.
Abu: Cincin perkahwinan
Cikgu Murni: Saya ada bermacam-macam saiz. Bila saya sakit saya akan meleleh. Bila saya keluar, banyak tisu yang akan digunakan. Bila awak hembuskan saya, akan berasa lega.
Sekali lagi pengetua rasa amat resah dengan soalan yang di ajukan oleh Cikgu Murni dan ingin membantah, tapi si Abu mendahuluinya.
Abu: Hidung
Cikgu Murni: Saya batang yang keras. Hujungnya tajam. Saya akan datang dan masuk dengan lajunya.
Abu: Anak panah
Cikgu Murni: Sekarang saya akan ajukan soalan dalam Bahasa Inggeris, okay?
Abu: Okay
Cikgu Murni: What word starts with a ‘F’ and end in ‘K’ that means lot of heat and excitement?
Abu: Firetruck
Cikgu Murni: What word starts with a ‘F’ and ends in ‘K’ & if you dont get it you have to use your hand.
Abu: Fork
Cikgu Murni: What is it that all men have one of. It’s longer on some men than on others, the pope does not use his, and a man gives it to his wife after they are married?
Abu: Surname
Cikgu Murni: What part of the man has no bones but has muscles, lots of veins and loves pumping?
Abu: Heart
Pengetua menghembuskan nafas kelegaan bila mendengar jawapan yang diberikan oleh si Abu, lantas berkata “Baik hantar murid ini ke Universiti Malaya, jawapan yang saya fikirkan semuanya salah”.

P/s: Jika jawapan anda semua salah, anda adalah sama spesies dengan pengetua yang mempunyai pemikiran kuning. Heh Heh Heh

Kudos to Impiana Resort Cherating

Last week I attended one program in Impiana Resort Cherating. During kelam kabut nak balik rumah that evening, I miss my Red Wing safety shoes at their lobby. I memang tak terperasan yang kasut tu tertinggal kat situ even after I arrive at home. After I cari nak guna kasut tu the next morning, baru I teringat yang kasut tu tertinggal kat sana and to make the matter worse I takde no tepon sana untuk pesan atau ask for that.

Almost 4 days after that I kebetulan nak pegi ke Kuantan lagi, then I singgah sekejap kat sana and dalam hati takde la berharap sangat nak jumpa balik kasut tu. To my surprise after i asked the receiption counter, their clerk cakap benda tu ada and call housekeeping to bring my shoes back to me.

So, thank you very much Impiana Resort Cherating and KUDOS to you for having a very high integrity staff. ( anyway my Red Wing safety shoes tu senang-senang boleh jual RM 200- 400 at black market)
